Problem: The customer was having difficulty finding materials to repair the damaged concrete floors and that would hold up to the weight of the 15,000 pound automated robots they used to shuttle materials around their production facility.

Application Situation
Concrete floors.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-1. The repair area was cleaned using acetone and a rotary wire wheel. An angle grinder was then used with a masonry wheel to prepare the area to allow for an application of at least 1/4" of Belzona 4111. The area was then given a final cleaning with acetone. Belzona 4911 was used to condition the substrate and Belzona 4111 was then trowelled into place and smoothed out. In the warm environment the repair was ready for service in about 4 hours.

Many other floor repair materials had been tried and had been found lacking for a number of reasons including difficulty of application, cure time/downtime, surface roughness, or inability to withstand the environment. With a compression strength of 15,000 psi, a solid bond to the concrete, easy application, quick curing time and a smooth finish with Belzona 4111 is the repair they were looking for.
