Problem: After the FPSO was painted, it was discovered that a cable tray had not been welded onto the deck. Welding would damage the paintwork, therefore Belzona was approached for a cold applied solution.

Application Situation
Newly constructed FPSO required a solution to rectify a problem.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-9.
Belzona Facts
In order to ensure that Belzona solution can be used for this application, a test has been performed mimicking expected in-service conditions. Result - test sample withstood 19.4kN of loading. Prequalification information and excellent vendor support have enabled the client to make the easy decision of using a Belzona solution. This bonding application has been in service with no issues since 2006.
