Problem: The client had an old weighbridge that had been constructed on a slope. Lorries were struggling to move off this as their tyres would just spin on the polished metal. They then had a new deck fabricated, but it was found that the problem persisted. Vehicles would have to reverse back towards the production area in order to gain enough momentum to get over the bridge. After a couple of “near misses”, a solution was urgently needed.

Belzona Facts
Due to the constant heavy traffic, Belzona 1321 was chosen to hold the aggregate due to the materials’ very high compressive strength. As the materials were also self-priming, all of the work could be completed within a weekend, allowing the weighbridge to return to service quickly. In addition, the Belzona materials provided outstanding grip together with abrasion and corrosion protection.
