Problem: Multiple rips along the gutter dues to the existing material not being flexible enough. 
This flat roof gutter had been leaking previously and in an attempt to solve the problem the contractor had used a competitive material that proclaimed itself to be a highly flexible membrane. In fact, the contractor had used the same product on several roofs in the hospital and most had failed. The contractor was getting no support from the material manufacturer and he was worried for his reputation with this important client. For this particular gutter section, the application had been repeated and the competitive product had again failed. Belzona were called in by the contractor to save his reputation and solve the leaks once and for all. On close inspection it could be seen that the competitive product was not flexible enough and there were dozens of small rips along the gutter.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet RPA-6.

The Belzona membrane was applied directly onto the previous coating which reduced the costs and when the application was revisited 2 years later the Belzona was still perfect. Belzona have an excellent track record in supporting their materials and have been producing roofing materials since 1966. In the words of the contractor, “The cheaper competitive product had nearly destroyed our reputation and we would have never recovered without help from Belzona”.
