Problem: There were different substrates used for the roof & flashing, including felt and lead. There were also handrails & bolts to be removed that left gaps that had to be waterproofed. In particular, the balconies had developed ponding water,which, due to being north facing rarely dried up.

Application Situation

A set of roof balconies had developed leaks, particularly around joints, seams and flashings.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflets RPA-1, RPA-6 and RPA-8.

Coating the roof rather than removing the felt substrate saved the customer time & money and provided a seamless system able to cope with the regularly ponding water.
