Belzona® Protects New Hopper From Abrasion

Application Situation:

De-dusting machine  operating in the cement plant.



The hopper is situated on top of the machine and one section suffers from severe abrasion. Structural failures on that section would cause safety and operational problems.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-7


Belzona Facts:

Premature failure of the hopper caused downtime and hopper needed to be repaired by welding. In order to prevent such failures in the future and extend working life of the hopper, customer was looking for a way to protect its critical section before installation. Belzona is already used on this machine (pipe elbow that is connected to the hopper), so customer decided to also use Belzona in this case.
