Application Situation
Access steps and walkway at a prominent medical research facility
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet FPA-8. The existing sound coating was thoroughly abrsaded before applying the Belzona 5231 system. Additional aggregate was added between coats to provide a higher level of slip resistance.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 5231 was chosen because of its incorporated aggregate which provides a high level of slip resistance, combined with superior wear resistance.  Its ability to be applied onto the manually prepared existing coating was also a prime consideration, as the sensitive research items within the building prohibited the use of any kind of mechanical tooling.
