Problem: Constant abrasion had caused severe wear to the transition lip on the concrete coal chute. The abrasion was so severe that the reinforcement bars had been exposed and in some cases were also worn through.

Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet SHM-13.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 4111 was chosen as it could be applied with minimal preparation, would bond tenaciously to the existing concrete and would be better able to resist the abrasion in future to ensure a long lasting repair. Also enabled smooth transition so minimizing future abrasion.
