Application Situation
The face of the 100 yr old concrete hydro dam was damaged at the waterline due to ice and wave action.
Application Method
A temporary dyke was created around the area needing repair. Compressed air was used to blow the standing water off the damaged area. The surface was prepped with chisels and a bristle blaster. Dust and loose debris were blown off. The 4911 was applied and the repair was made with 4141 to just below the desired finish level. Finally a coat of 4131 was applied to finish the work .
Belzona Facts
Belzona was chosen because of its rapid cure, non-shrink and superior adherence characteristics. Magma build was chosen due to the need to work without forms and Magma Screed for color and finish.
