Problem: As part of its operation in a treatment plant's slurry clarifier, the screw conveyor was transporting dehyrdated slurries. The hard particles in the slurry were causing abrasion of the conveyor blades.

Application Situation

The screw conveyor at a water treatment plant was suffering from signficant metal loss.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet SHM-14. After gritblasting Belzona 1812 was applied to the blades to provide abrasion resistant protection.
