The threads of the 1" pipe were corroded and holed through. Any gas leaking out would be a major safety hazard. | | | Products:Belzona 1121 | | | Substrate:Carbon Steel | | | Application Method:The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FBC-6 for sealing leaks. Application was carried out by scaffolding up to the pipe rack. Surface preparation included Bristle Blasting. 1"-3" reducer was suggested by the contractor and split in half beforehand. Hose clamps were used to hold the repair until fully cured. | | | Belzona Facts:Belzona was chosen due to its high strength and no need for dangerous hot work.
