Problem: The cutting of the pipes damaged the concrete lining and would have resulted in crevice corrosion on the flange face and corrosion creep under the concrete. It was not practical to repair the concrete with more concrete.

Installation of additional valves into concrete lined cooling water pipework (ranging from 400-1200mm)
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets VPF-3, -13.
Belzona Facts
Fourteen Flanges were protected and all works completed within two days. The cooling water system operates with a maximum pressure of three bar. After inspection following three years service, the satisfied client has specified the use of Belzona 1111 for other damaged concrete lined pipes
