Rubber Track On Crane Repaired With Belzona

Application Situation:

In place repair of a rubber track on mobile crane.



Track was ripped and would have to be replaced at a cost of $7,000 without the repair.



Belzona® 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer)

Belzona® 2211 (MP Hi-Build Elastomer)



65 Durometer rubber


Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-1. Once the bottom repair was cured, the repaired area of the track was rotated to the top and the top was repaired without the reinforcing sheet using Belzona® 2211.


Belzona Facts:

Cost to repair was $1,500 including labor whereas replacement cost would have been $7,000 plus delivery and downtime
