Problem: The vapor from the burning waste was damaging all earlier attempted coating systems. The Customer needed a heavy duty coating, tolerant of operation in wet conditions up to 160°C.

Application Situation

Internal surfaces of incenerator exhaust duct used to dispose of waste from local food factory.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet VPF-2. Following gritblasting all internal surfaces of the 2 chimney units were coated with Belzona 1591.

Belzona Facts

The customer replied back after 6 months that the application was so far working perfectly and initiated several more similiar applications in the future.
