Belzona Superwrap II


Problem: The Customer attempted to repair the cracks. However, leaks still existed after the pump was reinstalled onto the chiller return line and tested. The new solution of Belzona Superwrap II was suggested for the 90 degree flange.

Application Situation
The inside bend of a flange leaking return line chiller water at a theme park. 
Application Method
Surface was prepared with abrasive blast clean following the Manufacturer's Instructions for Use. The ends of the through cracks were drilled and Belzona 1111 was applied into the inside of the cracks. Once Belzona 1111 set up and still within the overcoat time, 4 wraps of Belzona SuperWrap II were applied on the inside of the 90 degree bend of the flange and the outside to re-enforce it for strength. The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of CEP-6 Belzona System Leaflet.
Belzona Facts
The Customer saved thousands of dollars in replacement costs. The alternative was to weld the through cracks but this would have caused more problems in the future. The Customer relied on Belzona to create a permanent solution.
