Belzona 9211 (Supergrip Aggregate)

Problem: A potential slip hazard had been noted on several sets of sandstone steps. Due to the enclosed area it was often damp or icy in the winter. A durable long lasting solution was required to ensure the slip hazard could not reoccur in the future.
Photograph Descriptions

4- Completed application

Application Situation
Several staircases around a hospital in Glasgow has significantly worn away.
Application Method
The steps were marked out & prepared using a floor grinder. Belzona 5821 was then applied as a 1 coat system. Immediately following this Belzona 9211 aggregate was blinded into the coating & tamped down.
Belzona Facts
Removal of the steps would not have been an option. Non slip tapes have been found to have limited durability in this environment. The Belzona solution was completed within two weeks on seven sets of steps.
