Application Situation
Pump lining application to protect a new build vertical pump to supply potable water for a local water district in Texas, USA.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet CEP-3, at the fabrication site of pump manufacturer in Japan. A suction bell and a discharge bowl were blasted and coated with NSF approved Belzona® 1341 internally. Blow holes found were filled with Belzona® 1111 to achieve smooth surfaces prior to the final coat of Belzona® 1341.
Belzona Facts
The application was carried out by a local contractor along with presence of an Official Inspector dispatched by the client (US Water District) as well as Belzona Corporate Supervisor. All the necessary requirements strictly met either the specification or Belzona standards. The application carried out was for the first unit out of 7 units in total, therefore 6 more units to be followed shortly.
