Application Situation:

Belzona 4111 (Magma Quartz)

Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner)

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal)

Cast Iron and Concrete

Application Method:

The whole surface that needed to be repaired was high-pressure washed, then a needle gun was used to get rid of the rust and the metallic parts were roughened with a metallic brush. The needle gun and a diamond disk were also used to prepare the concrete and ensure a good mechanical adhesion. Belzona 1111 was then used to bond threaded rods to keep the feet in place and enhance the adhesion of Belzona 4111, in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet GSS-08. Belzona 4911 was then used on the whole surface and a former was placed all around the concrete blocks. Belzona 4111 was poured into the former in several packed layers, and once cured, the former was taken off.

Belzona Facts:

From start to finish, the entire application including curing took only 48 hours. This allowed the client to restart their equipment quickly and saved them from the cost of excessive downtime.
