Application Method

The substrate was first prepared by grit blasting prior to the installation of steel reinforcement bars. Belzona 4911 was then applied on the whole surface followed by Belzona 4131.The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflets FPA-1 and FPA-3.

Belzona Facts

Since 2010, the distributor has done several successful applications in cyanide containment areas in gold mines. This red coloured Belzona 4131 has became a 1st choice for concrete repair in gold mines for this sector. Thanks to the success of the first mill foundation application, further repairs will be carried out in 2019. It is estimated that 30 tons of Belzona 4131 will be used over the next year in this particular Gold Mine.
