Problem: The inside of this pump was badly damaged by entrained solids as it pumps river water. The high speed of the fluid also accelerated the deterioration.

The application was carried out in accordance with an adapted version of Belzona Know How System Leaflet CEP-5.The substrate was first prepared by grit blasting, then Belzona 1111 was used to rebuild the concentric area. It was then machined to get the right tolerances. The discharge outlet was rebuilt from the outside using a metallic mesh and Belzona 1311 and protected with Belzona 1811. Finally the inside of the pump was protected with Belzona 1341.
