2. Dolly pull-offs in place

3. Applying 2nd Coat

4. Trial completed

Application Situation
A large distribution warehouse uses a mezzanine floor area for picking and the movement of tote trolleys.
Application Method
5231 was applied to a small patch, along with pull-off dollies as a small trial area. These showed adhesion approaching 850 psi. From this result, a larger trial was organised. Preparation was completed using large floor sanders and vacuums, followed by the application of the Belzona 5231 in accordance with Belzona system leaflet FPA-8.
Belzona Facts
All other trials failed and the only alternative seemed to replace the floor. The cost was huge as the mezzanine floor carried services under which also would have had to be moved and managed during the replacement. A coating was the only viable choice. Belzona 5231 was the only coating to perform.
The trial has been in place since the beginning of 2019, and has proven a suitable solution, outperforming the expected standards.
