Problem: Cutlass Bearings holding the tail shafts needed to be secured within the housings. This meant a pourable chocking product needed to be used to fill the void between the bearing and the housing.

Application Situation

New build catamaran required bearings to be secured into housings.

Application Method

The product was poured through a funnel and filled the space between the bearing and housing. The excess air was vented out through a vent port.

Belzona Facts

A modified version of Belzona System Leaflet GSS-13 for precise alighment was used during this application. Belzona 7111 was used as it is a cost effective chocking compound that met the requirements of the customer. As it is 100% solids, it completely filled the gap between the bearing and housing.
