Problem: Erosion and corrosion caused the edges of the screw flights to be worn down in the harsh environment of the plywood factory, resulting in material not moving efficiently.

Application Situation
Worn and damaged Screw Flights.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-14. The full length of the screw was blasted before applying Belzona 1811 to rebuild and reinforce the edges that had eroded. Over time flights from the screw conveyor had fallen off at the weld as they were unprotected. new flights were welded on prior to applying the Belzona 1811.

The client had used Belzona across the site since 2009, they knew Belzona would rectify the problem with little down time due to past experience using Belzona products in a similar application.
