Problem: Removal of the pipe & replacement part coming would have taken around a week, an unacceptable delay to the customer. Welding was deemed to hazardous due to the water in the area.

Application Situation
A leak was found on a pipe section during docking. A temporary repair was required to stop this leak before long term repairs could be carried out.
Application Method
The area was prepared by roughening with a hand grinder. Belzona 1161 was the applied around the circumference of the pipe, Belzona 9341 was incorporated into the repair. Heat was then applied to 'force cure' the product.

By utilising the Belzona repair method the ferry was able to sail later that day
