Application Situation
The client manufactures equipment for the mining industry and required a protective coating to be applied to seven new sea water pumps. They were looking for a system which provided outstanding erosion protection along with efficiency enhancement.
Application Method
The application was undertaken in accordance with CEP-01. The pumps were delivered to the Belzona workshop in Wrexham where the team grit blasted the components to SA 2 ½ with a minimal profile of 75 microns. Each of the internal areas were then coated with two coats of Belzona 1341 and allowed to cure prior to returning to the client.

Belzona were able to provide a full product supply and application package to the client from their fully equipped local workshop. The client was pleased with the turnaround time provided and have since pumps have been in service for a year and are showing no signs of deterioration. quality standards.
