Problem: Conditions during operation: Head: 760 m, Power: 195 MW, Speed: 600 rpm Flow rate: 30 m³ / s. A slight increase in abrasion is to be expected within the new build.
Application Situation
In the course of a general refurbishment and performance increase of the pump, a new impeller was installed which changed the profile. This required a change in the contour of the shaft, which is where Belzona was required. The areas of the shaft in contact with water were coated with Belzona 5811.
Application Method
The application was completed in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet MPT-01 and CEP-03.
