Belzona Facts
During regular maintenance, the client detected the reduced wall thickness of the pipeline and the need of taking effective measures to ensure safe production. However, replacement of new pipelines requires downtime operations, long application window, and on-site hot work which means safety hazards and high costs. General pipeline repair systems could not provide strong pressure holding ability and cause galvanic corrosion when carbon fiber reinforced belt contacts the pipeline body, which will further aggravate corrosion. The new generation of Belzona SuperWrap system does not require hot work during the application process and uses only insulating materials offering strong pressure holding ability, so that the above problems are avoided. This system can be applied on-site to quickly restore the original strength of the pipeline without any operating downtime.
