Application Situation:

The operating temperature of the refinery tower is between 60 ℃ and 120 ℃.

Problem:

This complex tower in an oil refinery plant has been corroded by acid and alkali substances(such as H2S, SO2, H2SO3, H2SO4, NaOH) for a long time, resulting in the failure and cracking of the original coating. The stainless steel bracket inside the tower also appears various degrees of corrosion.

Belzona Facts:

After Belzona coating has been in service for one year within an environment which contains acid and alkali substances(H2S、SO2、H2SO3、NaOH), according to on-site inspection, the overall surface of the inner coating looks very smooth, showing no leaking, shedding, bulging, cracking or other failure symptoms. Vessels protected with Belzona coating are easy to clean and able to continuously meet the requirements of anti-corrosion design and anti-corrosion protection requirements for the safe operation of the refinery.
