Application Situation
A pallet dispatch yard in a Whisky bottling plant had a health & safety issue caused by poor traction on the concrete floor. During rain showers water would be brought inside the building on forklift truck wheels. This rainwater was causing a slip hazard for both the forklifts & workers in the area. The heavily trafficked area in need of a grip system was over 200m2.
Application Method
The application was carried out over two weekends. The area was marked out & prepared with floor grinders. One coat of Belzona 4411 in grey was applied. Belzona 9231 Surefoot aggregate was then used to blind out the area. The area was cured ready to go back into service for the start of production after the weekend.
Belzona Facts
The area has now been in heavy duty service for over 3 years. By utilsing the Belzona solution the customer was able to eliminate a health & safety hazard with no disruption to production.
