Problem: Tubesheet and water box surfaces of 10 Chillers of a Plastic Plant's HVAC system were corroded over time. The client had purchased 8 new chillers for a new HVAC system and had planned to replace the 10 chillers in phases. Customer needed a cost effective solution.

Application Method
Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets HEX-1 & -3. After corking tubes, Belzona® 1111 used to ensure the tubes are flush with the surface before applying the Belzona 5811 system.
Belzona Facts
As max temp of water in the chiller was 40 deg.C, Belzona 5811 was selected considering the price point. By applying the protective coating at the factory the customer was able to prevent much of the damage caused by day to day operation of the equipment and extend the life. The Belzona application saved the equipment from replacement. Initially the application was done only on 3 chiller units. Seeing the cost saving and life extension, the customer placed order for rest of the 7 old chillers and 8 new chillers.
