Problem: The impeller had eroded over time and now required re-profiling and a protective coating to protect the surface from the potential erosion in the future.

Application Situation
Eroded pump impeller.
Application Method
The substrate was prepared by conventional grit blasting to a  minimum surface profile of 75μm and a surface cleanliness of SA 2½. The damaged areas were then rebuilt and re-profiled back to original using Belzona 1111 . Once rebuilt, two coats of our Belzona 1391T were applied in accordance with Belzona Know-How System leaflet CEP-03.
