Application Situation
Felt roof over engineering workshop within the university.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet RPA-8. The leaking areas where cleaned down using a wire brush. The repair areas were then taped up to ensure an aesthetically pleasing finish. A first coat of Belzona 3131 was the applied incorporating Belzona 9351 reinforcing sheet. As soon as the first coat was cured a second coat was applied to each area and the tape was removed.
Belzona Facts
The Belzona solution was selected due to its ability to be applied in low temperatures. The client was looking for a cost effective solution which would cause minimal disruption to the operation of the university and without the need for hot works to be carried out. This application was undertaken by Belzona Ltd.
