Problem: The 4 Jet Tubes presented severe pitting and cracking, due to erosion and cavitation. This existing paint system has failed locally, leading to metal loss and cracks.

Application Method
Application is carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets SOS-1 & 2. Surface was prepared according to ISO 8501-1 Sa 2,5. All the areas suffering from pitting, cracking and metal loss, were rebuilt with Belzona 1311. Finally, two coats of Belzona 1341 were applied to the whole internal surface of the Jet Tubes,in order to provide erosion protection & water flow optimisation.
Belzona Facts
The customer was having severe problems, due to the inability of the existing paint systems to provide erosion and cavitation protection. Belzona application was introduced to the customer from another Shipping Company, who were completely sastisfied with the same application in one of their vessels.
