Problem: Due to cavitation damage of seawater, impeller has pitting damages on surface and blades causing low efficiency pumping.

Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SOS-01 and SOS-02. Application surface was prepared with SA2½ grit blasting in workshop. Surface the cleaned with Belzona 9111. Belzona 1111 was used to repair the damaged impeller surface. Belzona 1321 was applied on top of Belzona 1111 and impeller surface within overcoating window, without the need of additional surface preparation.
Belzona Facts
Repair cost and time with Belzona is lower than conventioanl repair methods. Protection with Belzona coating improves the durability of the impeller.
