Application Situation:

This customer uses 3 tanks with a fluid flow mix. 2 tanks are bigger, last one is smaller.

Problem:

The problem was an abrasion from water (with salt - CaCl2, CaS04, CaOH, MgOH …) + silica sand. They missing 3,5 mm of the wall (at the bottom of the tank) after 4 years of production.

Products:

Firstly we have considered going with
Belzona 1321/1331, but then this customer specified the temperature - close to 60°C, so we offered him
Belzona 1381.

Application Method:

These tanks were blasted and cleaned. Two coats of Belzona 1381 were applied by spraying. The application was done in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet TCC-5.

Belzona Facts:

The customer was looking for some good anti abrasive coating some longer time. In the end we offered him Belzona 1381. First one was done in 2019. After one year (because Belzona 1381 shows itself to be perfect protection, no damage on the surface) the customer wanted to coat another 2 tanks.
