Application Situation:

A Pharmaceutical plant was expanding a section of the plant and wanted a protective flooring system installed.

Problem:

The area of the plant being extended was likely to be exposed to spillages in the future and therefore caused potential health and safety concerns for the workers.

Application Method:

This application was carried out in accordance with Belzona system leaflet FPA-03. The new concrete where the plant room was being extended was ground, cleaned and any loose contaminants were removed from the surface of the concrete. Once the concrete was prepared the Belzona 5231 was applied using rollers.

Belzona Facts:

The client said the Belzona material was extremely easy to mix and apply with the rollers and the Belzona system had the benefit of having an aggregate incorporated into the flooring system, this meant the floor acted as a positive grip system making it safe for the workers.
