Application Situation

The customer recorded water leakage in system. Underground pipe had developed thin-wall defect. They tried to weld this damaged place several times. On the thin wall they found permanently new damages (also like thermal influence from welding)

Application Method

The application was completed in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet VPF-11. The surface was blasted to the 75 microns profile and cleanness Sa 2,5. Then the surface was chemically cleaned. T ensure a good profile (after plates welding) and damage repairs was Belzona 1111 used. Then Belzona 1982 and 9381 were applied in 2 layers. The system was then wrapped to Belzona 9382 to consolidate and compress during cure. Upper layer of the Belzona 9382 was removed after sufficient curing time.

Belzona Facts

The customer was not able to receive the good pipe repair by conventional welding, because several multiply plates welding constantly caused new and another pipes damages. Super Wrap II was very excellent, quick and long term solution.
