Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-03 and CEP-05. Dismantled pump casings were grit blasted to SA 2,5 Standard in the workshop blasting cabinet. All surfaces were throughly cleaned. Then the damaged surfaces and pittings were repaired with Belzona 1311 before coating with Belzona 1321 to provide overall erosion-corrosion protection.

Belzona Facts

It is substancially more cost-effective to repair and protect with Belzona versus replacement. Repair and Protection was completed for almost 25% of the cost of new equipment and the whole application was completed in one day and the downtime planned by the owner was reduced. Pump is now protected against future errosion-corrosion damages.
