Problem: The contractor sought guidance as there were several areas showing signs of metal corrosion and minor cracks to the concrete areas of two bases. A repair and protect solution was required to ensure the asset life could be fully extended a further ten years.

Application Situation

The set of ten wind turbines is situated rurally and passing into the second ten years of service. The contractor responsible to maintain the asset life identified some areas of failure to the wind turbine base.

The application was carried out in accordance with a variance of GSS-03

Belzona Facts

The contractor selected the turnkey services of Belzona in consideration of the vast experience and application techniques. Other optional alternatives did not meet the criteria. Upon completion we were informed that the remaining eight bases would be undertaken during 2021.
