Problem: Excessive wear of stainless steel chutes when operating at elevated temperatures. The client was looking for a long-term solution to protect the substrate.

Application Situation
Application inside biomass incinerator chutes (dimension 500x500x2700mm)
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona system Leaflet SHM-7. After blasting with aluminium oxide grit Belzona 9811 alumina tiles were bonded to prepared substrate using Belzona 1111 and then grouted using Belzona 1813
Belzona Facts
Premature chutes failure resulted in frequent component replacements and downtime. To prevent such failures in the future and extend the service life of the chutes, the client was looking for a way to protect this sections. This system proved to be the ideal solution and provided the required abrasion resistance, and the customer was very pleased with the results.
