Big Vacuum Oven Repair With Belzona 1593

Application Situation:

They have used product Belzona 1593 for a vacuum oven in 2017. Because it was good and quick repair (several days) they made decision to use Belzona 1593 also for bigger construction - 675 m2.

Problem:

The problem was: steel prickles inside which keep the oven insulation are degraded from acids throughout the life. Oven needed the protection against acids in high temperature.

Application Method:

The application was performed in accordance with Belzona system leaflet TCC-5. After blasting and cleaning, the oven was applied with Belzona 1593 in 2 layers. The first coat of Belzona 1593 was applied at 375 microns. After 12 hours the second coat was applied at 375 microns. Complete coating was finished in 2 days.

Quick repair (several days)in high quality saves to customer big money. 1158 kg of Belzona 1593 was used.
