Problem: The concrete underground tank for liquid Sulphur was damaged. The longer wall of the tank crashed down. 100 % liquid Sulphur in this process can have a temperature up to 150°C and customer needed quick and quality repair.

Application Situation
Liquid Sulphur is a secondary product in the fuel products manufacture. After several processes, clean solid Sulphur is sold on in the market.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflets TCC-9 and TCC-15. Damaged and loose concrete was removed. Then we used the blasting process. We made sure the surface of the concrete is clean/dry/free of any loose contaminants and then we used to condition the surface with your 4981. The eroded vertical surface of the tank was rebuilt with Belzona 4181. In the end Belzona 1392 has been applied.
Belzona Facts
If the coating Belzona 1392 is post cured in service at 150° C (the ramp up rate did not exceed 30° C per hour). Belzona 1392 has very good heat and acid resistance and a very high max HDT (199°C) and will be resistant to the liquid Sulphur. After nearly a year in service the site was revisitied and the reapir was found to still be in good condition, performing as the client required.
