Problem: The paddles on their ash slurry mixer would wear down to less than half of their original length in 3 months forcing them to be replaced. The original paddles were made from hardox steel. The mixer box and shafts had some mild wear and corrosion as well.

Application Method
The mixer box and shafts were grit blasted and the Belzona 1331 was applied in two layers by hand. The new mixer paddles were hand ground and the Belzona 1813 was applied by hand.
Belzona Facts
The original method of replacing the paddles was causing thousands of dollars in new blades, man hours, and shutdowns every three months. By using this Belzona solution, the mixing box and paddles have been in operation for over six months with absolutely no sign of any wear. In six months, the cost of the Belzona solution has already been more than paid for.
