Problem: The previous repair on the Condenser Flange had failed and the customer was fearing that it would start leaking. This would cause unplanned downtime costing thousands of dollars.

Application Situation
Exhaust Condenser Flange Rebuild.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet VPF 13 by using a 1.5m diameter, 50mm thick, flat Flange Former coated with Belzona 9411 and left to dry. Belzona 1121 was applied to the flange face and using a plastic applicator with a “V” cut out, was shaped all around with a 6mm high peak in the center. 2mm spacers were placed evenly all round to ensure the Former would sit level when bolted down. 1mm thick Belzona 1121 was then applied to the Former before bringing the two together and bolting up the former. The Belzona 1121 was left overnight to cure before gently removing the Former.
