Application Situation
Impeller did not have a solid center bore. Instead, it had a boss fit on both sides with a 60 cubic inch void in the center.
Application Method
Belzona® 1321 was injected into the void, filling it completely. Application followed Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-9
Belzona Facts
Belzona® 1321 extensively used for injecting irregular shims. Product has good handling characteristics, is non-shrinking and has high mechanical strength. The pump needed to be back in production, a new impeller would take 6 month to be delivered, then, more of the same was likely to occur!
