Application Situation:

A channel used to contain and transport sulphuric acid.

 
 

Problem:

The concrete channel was deterioted from the acid. A previously applied protective coating had failed and allowed the concrete substrate to be attacked. This caused severe holes and damage to the channels.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-9.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Time constraints due to demands on energy generation meant that Belzona were only allocated a short period of time for the repair work. Keeping to a schedule and force curing the product meant the power station incurred no fines for not being available to generate power when required.
