Belzona® Protects Pulsation Dampener

Application Situation:

Pulsation dampeners handling a mixture of brine and drilling mud at temperature of 100°C and 350 bar pressure.

 
 

Problem:

The rough surface caused by corrosion within the dampener was causing the diaphragm to be holed very quickly. This was leading to the drilling operation having to be shut down whilst the diaphragm was changed.

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet VPF-2.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The reduction in un-scheduled shut downs speeded up the overall drilling process saving £1000's in operating costs
