Application Situation:

Holed storage tank roofs.

Problem:

Existing coating had delaminated from tank roofs exposing steelwork underneath. This in turn corroded resulting in holed tank roofs.

Belzona® 1121 (Super XL-Metal)

Belzona® 5811 (Immersion Grade)

Substrate:

Mild Steel

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflets TCC-1 & TCC-5. Belzona® 1121 used to bond plates. Repair then overcoated with Belzona® 5811 to provide corrosion protection.

Belzona Facts:

Customer chose cold repair over welding as tanks contained parrafin and diesel.
