Problem: Pipe wall thickness measurement from outside showed heavy loss in material. The following visual inspection from inside confirmed the severity of the problem.

1,65 m diameter Cooling water pipeline.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-1 and VPF-2. Belzona 1111 was used to rebuild the damaged profile and two coats of Belzona® 5811 applied for protection against organic organisms and sea water corrosion.
Belzona Facts
Belzona solvent free system was ideal for application in the confined space. Inspection of the coating after 3 years in service showed no damage at all. Even in 2011 (6 years in service) the coating is still performing well.
