Belzona® Creates Rubber Lobes On This Rotary Pump

Application Situation:

Rotary lobe pumps used to move primary sludge in water treatment works.

 
 

Problem:

The two intermeshing rubber lobes in the pump rapidly wear and the clearances increase reducing the pumps efficiency. Replacement of the lobes is necessary but expensive and long lead times exist for repalace-ment lobes from the manufacturer.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet PDP-9.
